A woman in her thirties was shot and killed late Saturday by her uncle, who fired two bullets into her head during a family dispute, according to a source close to the investigation.

 

The incident occurred at the victim’s family home in the Balqa Governorate. The victim, 31 years of age, was divorced and living with her parents.

 

The source told Roya that the argument broke out when the uncle visited his brother’s house, escalating to the point where he used a firearm to shoot his niece.

 

The woman was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries. A forensic examination revealed that she had sustained two gunshot wounds to the head, resulting in severe hemorrhaging that led to her death.

 

Authorities are investigating the motive behind the altercation and have launched legal proceedings against the shooter.
