Lebanon will bid farewell to Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah and Secretary-General Hashem Safieddine in a grand ceremony set to take place in Beirut’s southern suburbs on Sunday afternoon.

 

Hezbollah’s media announced that a vial containing soil from Palestine will be buried alongside Nasrallah’s body at his final resting place near the old airport road in Beirut.

 

According to the statement, the vial holds soil from Al-Aqsa Mosque, which was specifically brought to be interred with the soil covering Nasrallah’s remains.

Iranian delegation arrives in Beirut for Nasrallah and Safieddine’s funeral

An Iranian delegation, including the families of late President Ebrahim Raisi, late Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and Qassem Soleimani, arrived in Beirut to attend the funeral.

 

The official delegation also includes around 40 Iranian MPs.
