Over 500 "Israelis" have initiated a lawsuit at the Central Court in Jerusalem, seeking 4.5 billion shekels (approximately USD 1.24 billion) in damages.

The plaintiffs, who identify as victims of the events that transpired on October 7, 2023, are targeting the Palestinian Authority (PA), the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), and Minister of Prisoners’ Affairs Qadura Fares. They allege that these entities were complicit, both directly and indirectly, in the attacks and related incidents.

Reports from Ma’an news agency, referencing "Israel’s" Channel 13, highlight that the lawsuit includes claims stating that “Qadura Fares was responsible for overseeing financial payments to Hamas elite fighters and their families.”

The indictment details purported preparations made by the Palestinian Authority and various PLO factions from 2018 to 2023, which allegedly involved collaborative military exercises in Gaza, notably in conjunction with the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. The lawsuit also provides what it describes as “details of joint operations carried out by different factions in Gaza and how fighters received military training in educational institutions run by Hamas and funded by the Palestinian Authority.”

Additionally, the suit asserts that Palestinian factions in Gaza set up a “joint war room,” and it alleges that fighters “received military training in Palestinian educational institutions administered by Hamas and financed by the Palestinian Authority.”

The plaintiffs are urging the court to declare that “the Palestinian Authority, the PLO, and Qadura Fares bear direct and indirect responsibility for the events of October 7” and to mandate that they pay 4.491 billion shekels to the affected families and survivors, in addition to punitive damages.
