A heavy rocket barrage was launched from southern Lebanon on Wednesday evening, coinciding with a speech by Hezbollah's Deputy Secretary-General, Naim Qassem.

 

In his address, Qassem stated that Hezbollah will not allow Beirut to endure Israeli Occupation attacks without consequences, emphasizing, "Israel cannot defeat us or impose its conditions."

 

He also confirmed that Hezbollah is willing to engage in negotiations based on the proposal put forward by US envoy Amos Hochstein, and is awaiting a response from "Israel."
