The Syrian leadership announced that it presented a development and institutional reform program to the United States, aimed at launching a "new Syria."

 

During a meeting with an American delegation, the Syrian Command emphasized the importance of accountability and justice, calling for the prosecution of war criminals and former regime figures.

 

The Syrian leadership also underscored Syria’s role in achieving regional peace and stability.

 

Additionally, it conveyed to the US delegation that the Syrian people need a break from years of war and conflict to rebuild their lives.
