Russian authorities have announced the launch of electronic visas for Jordanian citizens wishing to visit Russia, starting Dec. 5, 2024, according to the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Russian authorities informed the Jordanian Embassy in Moscow that Jordanians will be eligible for unified electronic visas without the need for an invitation letter, prior hotel bookings, or any additional documents proving the purpose of travel.
The statement noted that these visas cover purposes such as tourism, private visits, business trips, and participation in scientific, cultural, economic, sports, and social events in the Russian Federation.
The electronic visa will be valid for 60 days from the date of issuance, allowing a stay in Russia of up to 16 days, including the arrival and departure days.
The Ministry expressed its gratitude to the Russian side for this initiative, highlighting its role in strengthening the close relations between the two countries and facilitating travel for Jordanian citizens to Russia.
