The Jordanian national football team arrived in Kuwait ahead of their upcoming World Cup qualifier against the Kuwaiti national team on Tuesday. This match is part of the sixth round of the ongoing qualification campaign.

Upon arrival, the delegation was warmly welcomed by the Jordanian Ambassador to Kuwait, Sinan Al-Majali, alongside enthusiastic Jordanian fans who turned out to support the team.

The team’s leadership was also present, with Mohammed Samara, a member of the Jordanian Football Association’s (JFA) Board of Directors, heading the delegation.

The private flight that brought the team from Basra International Airport also carried key figures, including Prince Ali bin Al-Hussein, Vice President of the JFA, Secretary General Samar Nassar, and Deputy Secretary General Faleh Dajeh, in addition to the players and coaching staff.

 - Position in the qualifiers -
Jordan currently sits in second place in Group C of the World Cup qualifiers, with 8 points—level on points with Iraq but ahead on goal difference.

The team is trailing leaders South Korea by 5 points. Their last outing ended in a 0-0 draw with Iraq, and they now look to bounce back with a strong performance against Kuwait.

 - Training plans and preparations -
To ensure the players are in peak physical condition, head coach Jamal Sellami has opted for a rest day on Friday, allowing the players to recover with light training sessions at the team’s hotel gym. Players who exerted extra effort in the match against Iraq are receiving additional recovery sessions.

The team will resume full training on Saturday at the nearby training field next to Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium. The coaching staff will focus on building on the positives from the last match while addressing the team’s mistakes.

Tactical adjustments will be made, and the coaching staff will analyze individual performances to finalize the lineup for the important clash with Kuwait.
